Oh, and this film is so painfully patriotic. And the top of the range Pakistani submarine kept missing its target. Why? There was very little enthusiasm from the actors, and lazy directing. Since the Captain was one of the main characters, why didn't they show what happened to him when it did? Instead, it was shown via a backflash image. If the sub started falling apart at 285 meters, why was everything stable below 400 meters? And again later, when they once again dived to 350 meters, nothing happened. What was the purpose of the girl and woman being saved? They served absolutely no purpose and might as well not have been there. I kept hoping for it to go somewhere, but unfortunately it never did. Much of the film also gave me a sense of deja vu. There's way too much talk and too little action. The rest of the world, I'm certain, doesn't share their joy and passion for the movie. (With 1.3 billion Indians - and with this film having a distinct Indian theme - its also no wonder it would be on the list of highest rated films). This film might be considered among the highest rated Indian movies, but there's just so much wrong with this film. The visual effects are mediocre, and the lighting also isn't good - especially during the 'action' sequences. The acting is very theatrical, and not believable. 'The Ghazi Attack' mainly concentrates on conflict between the submarine's Captain, Officers and Officials, and as a result it became incredibly boring.
